Events will be held partially online this year with only a small number of outdoor events taking place.

Under normal circumstances, on 29th June we invite more than eighty million people in the14 Danube countries to celebrate Danube Day, and learn and experience the waters of the world’s most international river basin.

Danube Day 2018 Exhibition: the Vienna International Centre gets active for a healthier Danube
On 4-6 July 2018, to mark International Danube Day 2018, the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism, and the United Nations Information Service (UNIS) Vienna invited the staff of the Vienna International Centre (VIC) as well as interested attendees and journalists to a series of events for Danube Day.

VIENNA, 29 June – Eighty-one million people in all 14 Danube countries are invited to ‘Get Active for a healthier Danube’ on 29 June as part of our celebrations for the 15th annual Danube Day.Sava Youth Parliament 2017
On 2-3 June 2017 the sixth Youth Parliament of the Sava River Basin competition was held in Belgrade (Serbia). The motto for this year’s competition was “The Impact of Climate Change on the Lives of the Sava River Basin”. 60 students and teachers from nine secondary schools from the Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina attended. The Sava Commission is an observer of the ICPDR.
