4th EUSDR Annual Forum open for registrations
Ulm, 21 September 2015. Registration for the 4th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region has opened at www.danube-forum-ulm.eu. The website also provides a draft agenda and practical information for forum participants.
The 4th EUSDR Annual Forum is jointly organised by the European Commission, the State of Baden-Württemberg and the City of Ulm and will take place on 29th-30th October 2015 at the Trade Fair in Ulm (Germany).
Under the title ‘Smart, Social, Sustainable – Innovation for the Danube Region’, the Annual Forum 2015 will focus on innovation, professional training, labour mobility and migration, competitiveness and entrepreneurship as well as the role of civil society.
During four thematic sessions and more than 30 workshops and panel discussions, this year’s forum will explore the key factors for a sustainable and inclusive growth of the Danube region and thus invites participants to actively exchange their experience in strategic approaches and topical developments for this region.
Several high rank speakers have already confirmed, among them Corina Creţu, European Commissioner for Regional and Urban policy and Günther Oettinger, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Peter Friedrich, Minister for the Bundesrat, Europe and International Affairs and Andrea Nahles, Federal Minister for Labour and Social Affairs. President Winfried Kretschmann, Baden-Württemberg, will invite the participants of the Annual Forum to an evening reception in Ulm Theatre.
The event will provide very good opportunities for networking. The registration platform offers the opportunity to arrange meetings with other stakeholders and thus put together an individual conference schedule. A separate meeting area will be provided for these face-to-face-meetings. In addition, participants will be able to get a more concrete picture of several topics of the strategy in the exhibition areas of the Ulm Trade Fair.
The deadline for registration is 15th October 2015. Once capacity limits are reached, registration will have to be closed; the Organisers aim at ensuring participation of all individuals who wish to attend the event. The organisers reserve the right to refuse registrations if there are too many participants from the same country or from the same institution and priority will be given to those who register early. Participation is free of charge.
