Calling all ICPDR stakeholders

Get active!

The ICPDR is committed to supporting public participation in its decision making. Why is that? Because we are convinced that public participation leads to broader support for policies and to more efficiency in implementing measures.

The ICPDR involves stakeholders in the entire cycle of activities: from conceptualising policies, to implementing measures, to evaluating impacts. This is particularly true for the two most important work programmes of the ICPDR, the Danube River Basin Management Plan Update 2015 and the first Flood Risk Management Plan.

The ICPDR calls you, the public, to get active and contribute – via a range of public consultation measures in the coming months:

Express your view on the draft management plans once they are published on icpdr.org (available for a period of 6 months)
Submit the two online questionnaires that will collect opinions on all major aspects of the management plans Participate in a stakeholder workshop to discuss the two management plans in detail (planned to be held in Zagreb on 2/3 July 2015)
Learn more about the management plans through information materials, including a Facebook campaign, online publications and other media

Where can you find further information? All opportunities to contribute to the public consultation measures will be published and frequently updated at: www.icpdr.org/participate
